You can configure:

  • If players can get their own head with the command
  • If player can get any head with the command
  • If the head drops only when killed by a player or any time the player dies
  • If certain players should not drop their head
  • If the head can only drop when the player dies in a certain area

General questions

Which Minecraft versions does Player Drops Head support?
Player Drops Head supports Minecraft Java Edition 1.16 - 26.3. It does not work on Bedrock Edition.
Do I need Fabric or Forge for Player Drops Head?
No. Player Drops Head is a datapack, so it works in vanilla Minecraft without any mod loader. If you prefer, it is also available as a mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt.
Does Player Drops Head work on servers and in multiplayer?
Yes. Datapacks run on the server, so it works in singleplayer, on multiplayer servers and in LAN worlds. Players do not need to install anything.
How do I install the Player Drops Head datapack?
Download the datapack zip from Modrinth or CurseForge, put it into the datapacks folder of your world (saves/<world>/datapacks), then run /reload or restart the world. For a new world, you can also add it on the Data Packs screen while creating the world.
