Adds the "Mace Protection" Enchantment
Each level reduces the mace smash damage by 4% per armor piece
Mace Protection I: 4% per armor piece
Mace Protection II: 8% per armor piece
Mace Protection III: 12% per armor piece
Mace Protection IV: 16% per armor piece
How to obtain
Has a 8% chance to get it from ominous vaults
How to use
Can be put on helmets, chestplates, leggings and boots
Is compatible with any vanilla type of protection
General questions
- Which Minecraft versions does Mace Protection support?
- Mace Protection supports Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.6 - 26.3. It does not work on Bedrock Edition.
- Do I need Fabric or Forge for Mace Protection?
- No. Mace Protection is a datapack, so it works in vanilla Minecraft without any mod loader. If you prefer, it is also available as a mod for Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and Quilt and a plugin for Paper and Purpur.
- Does Mace Protection work on servers and in multiplayer?
- Yes. Datapacks run on the server, so it works in singleplayer, on multiplayer servers and in LAN worlds. Players do not need to install anything.
- How do I install the Mace Protection datapack?
- Download the datapack zip from Modrinth or CurseForge, put it into the datapacks folder of your world (saves/<world>/datapacks), then run /reload or restart the world. For a new world, you can also add it on the Data Packs screen while creating the world.
- Is Mace Protection free?
- Yes. Mace Protection is free and open source under the MIT License. The source code is on Codeberg.
